The Perfect Human is the perfect film.
I got in touch with this piece of art when my hubby and I were at Pablo’s house in Buenos Aires in September.
First, he introduced me the The Five Obstructions, a reconstruction of Jorgen Leth’s 1967 work The Perfect Human - the original title is Det Perfekte Menneske.
Then, we watched the 1967 black and white film.
Det Perfekte Menneske is very minimalist. There are only two actors: a man and a woman. They are shot separately.
The film analyse a perfect human - how the perfect human acts and interacts in the society. “How the perfect human eats. How the perfect human lies down. How he falls. This is the human eye. This is the perfect human’s ear, eye, knee.”
The film is a delight and should not be missed. Enjoy!
