Once he was leaving his grandfather’s house and suddently a middle age man came to him, crying a river and talking desperately.
He said his father had just had a heart attack, he’s called an ambulance but it didn’t come. So he put his father on the backseat of a taxi, parked a few meters away.
He told him that during the journey, he said to the driver he couldn’t affort the ride because he was very poor.
The taxi stopped and the driver said he was not going anywhere without payment. It was just a street away from the grandfather’s house. The desperate guy needed money to assure his father’s life.
Being an Economist - and a Fashion Designer as well - is nice.
Besides, I’m having lot’s of fun on being a model - the joys of having a very talented photographer hubby… we love to make some shooting sessions in our spare time.
A friend liked them so much and asked us for shooting the pictures for her new catalog of products. We already started the shots, but it’s still a secret…
I will share some of our other pictures. Looking forward to know my friend’s opinion.
This one is from yesterday. I’m wearing my new stripe blouse from Zara.
The blue atmosphere was created by making some home made lighting effects (a transparent green plastic over the light, hahaha).
This one is also from yesterday, but the green plastic is over the flash of the camera…
This was shot some weeks ago, very clean atmosphere. Stripes again - I love stripes!
At last, one of my favourite shots ever - me, shaking my hair. This could be used in an IPod ad!
You can see more pictures from our shooting sessions on my hubby’s Flickr - Spotlights on Anna.
Last Friday I went to Sao Paulo to get my american visa.
The night before I was playing with my IPod and that music was such an inspiration… I always liked Pet Shop Boys, but at that night I was quite nostalgic and the music Being Boring really touched me. Specially the beginning of the video clip before the music starts…
“I came from New Castle in the North of England. We used to have lots of parties where everyone got dressed up. And on one party invitation was the quote “She was never bored because she was never boring“. The song is about growing up - the ideals that you have”.
Flavorpill is a very cool website where you can find publications and material regarding arts, cinema, literature, music and fashion from five big cities (NY, LA, SF, London, Chicago and Miami).
Very trendy, you will find cultural happenings and contributors all over the world.
The artwork displayed in the site is very cool, and there always new artists being revealed!
“From São Paulo, the biggest and craziest city in Brazil, comes Jumbo Elektro, a band that has been playing in lots of clubs and festivals around the country since 2003.
This seven-piece group does a mix of Ramones-like punk guitars with electro beats inspired by Kraftwerk, Devo and other cool vintage stuff.
Other influences include Os Mutantes, Blur and Serge Gainsbourg. Besides the impact that comes from its music, the band gained attention in Brazil’s underground for its energetic performances and sense of humour.
For the lovers of photography, JPG Magazine often promotes photo contests.
The themes are always very creative and challeging.
At this time the three themes are - Tourist (travel, vacation, and the faraway world), Intimate (alone, together, private moments exposed) and Embrace the Blur.
I submited photos for all the categories and now I ask you - vote on me !!!
